Using a bright 655 nm visible red laser source, the FLS-140 enables technicians to visually identify fibre faults by illuminating stressed or damaged sections of fibre cable. The unit supports both pulsed and continuous wave operation modes to improve visibility during fibre tracing, cable identification, and maintenance tasks. The visual fault locator provides a typical operating reach of up to 5 km depending on fibre conditions and ambient lighting.
