The Yokogawa 720221 is a 16-channel temperature and voltage input module designed for use with Yokogawa DL350 and DL850 ScopeCorder data acquisition platforms. The module supports simultaneous multi-channel voltage and thermocouple temperature measurement for laboratory, industrial, automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing test environments requiring isolated high-accuracy data acquisition capability.
The module supports thermocouple temperature measurement together with DC voltage acquisition across 16 isolated channels using scan-based measurement architecture. Supported thermocouple types include K, E, J, T, L, U, N, R, S, B, W, and Au-Fe-Chromel configurations with temperature ranges extending up to 2300°C depending on thermocouple type. Voltage measurement sensitivity ranges from 1 mV/div to 2 V/div with voltage accuracy specified at ±0.15% of 10 divisions.
The 720221 utilises 16-bit resolution with selectable data update periods of 100 ms, 300 ms, 1 s, and 3 s for optimised acquisition performance across varying signal conditions. The isolated unbalanced input design provides channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation with common mode isolation voltage specified to 300V between channels and modules.
The module requires the Yokogawa 701953 external scanner box for operation. The scanner box provides screw terminal connectivity for thermocouple and voltage input wiring together with integrated reference junction compensation and burnout detection functionality.
