The Franklin Grid CGS3-02V M6 is a CELLGUARD™ wireless battery monitoring sensor designed for continuous monitoring of 2V stationary battery systems within utility substations, telecommunications infrastructure, UPS systems, data centres, switchgear, and critical DC backup power environments. The sensor forms part of the Franklin Grid CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring System and is designed to provide accurate battery state-of-health monitoring through continuous analysis of voltage, temperature, and conductance parameters.
The CGS3-02V M6 is configured for 2V battery installations using M6 battery terminals and operates as a single battery monitoring sensor module with one sensor installed per cell or battery jar. The module includes a wireless sensor, wire harness, and dual tabbed terminal connections for integration into stationary battery monitoring deployments. The wireless mesh communication architecture enables installation without extensive cabling infrastructure while supporting large-scale battery monitoring environments with up to 16 strings, 300 batteries per string, and 600 sensors per Base Coordinator Unit (BCU).
The sensor captures battery voltage, temperature, and conductance measurements while operating with Franklin Grid’s patented conductance monitoring technology for non-invasive battery state-of-health analysis. The platform supports hot-swappable sensor and harness replacement together with field-upgradable firmware capability for simplified maintenance and lifecycle management. The CGS3-02V M6 is compatible with VRLA and VLA stationary battery systems used in telecom, utility, data centre, and industrial standby power infrastructures.
Designed for 24/7 remote battery monitoring applications, the sensor integrates within CELLGUARD™ Wireless monitoring ecosystems supporting alarm management, predictive maintenance workflows, remote reporting, discharge event analysis, and battery asset management through the CONVERGE™ web interface and associated infrastructure management platforms.
