DESCRIPTION:
The Bird SK-9000-TC is a rugged, portable RF test instrument tailored for technicians and engineers working on cellular networks (including 3G/5G/LTE), broadcast, tactical/military, government, WLAN, and satellite systems. It combines Distance-to-Fault (DTF) and Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) techniques to precisely identify and locate cable, connector, or antenna system issues. The analyzer displays VSWR, return loss, and cable-loss measurements and can interface with Bird RF power sensors and the Bird RF Meter app via USB-C for extended capabilities. Standard accessories typically include a hard case, RF cable, AC adapter, USB drive and stylus.
Key Features:
Wide Frequency Range: 1 MHz to 9000 MHz, suitable for HF through SHF diagnostics.
Fault Location: DTF/FDR measurement modes for locating faults along cable length.
Measurements: VSWR, return loss, cable loss, and power measurements with adjustable resolution.
Display: Large 5.5 (720p) color touchscreen for clear trace visualization.
Portable Design: Handheld form factor with rechargeable Li-ion battery (~10 hr operation).
Connectivity: USB-C interface supports remote control, data transfer, and sensor integration.
Durability & Suitability: Built for field use with robust enclosure and broad environmental tolerance.
Typical Applications:
Cellular network installation and maintenance (3G/4G/5G)
RF system troubleshooting in broadcast, public safety, military, and government sectors
WLAN and network infrastructure verification
Satellite communications and microwave bands maintenance
