The Rohde & Schwarz RTB24 is the entry-bandwidth four-channel model within the RTB 2 Series and provides 70 MHz bandwidth while retaining the complete hardware platform and advanced functionality found throughout the RTB family. Designed for electronics development, education, industrial maintenance, manufacturing diagnostics, and laboratory applications, the RTB24 combines high-performance measurement capability with intuitive operation.
A key differentiator of the RTB platform is its custom-designed 10-bit analog-to-digital converter. Unlike conventional oscilloscopes that utilize 8-bit ADCs, the RTB24 provides four times the vertical resolution, enabling engineers to observe low-level signal details, switching ripple, power supply noise, transient disturbances, and signal integrity issues with greater clarity and accuracy.
The instrument supports sampling rates of up to 2.5 GSa/s in interleaved mode and 1.25 GSa/s when all four channels are active simultaneously. Memory depth reaches 10 Mpoints per channel and up to 20 Mpoints in interleaved operation, allowing extended acquisition periods while maintaining high timing resolution. Waveform acquisition rates of up to 50,000 waveforms per second improve the probability of capturing intermittent faults and sporadic signal anomalies.
The RTB24 integrates a broad range of measurement and analysis functions as standard. These include FFT spectrum analysis, digital voltmeter operation, frequency counter measurements, automatic measurements, mask testing, segmented memory acquisition, history mode recording, mathematical analysis functions, and protocol-ready architecture. A 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator and pattern generator are also included, allowing the oscilloscope to function as both a measurement and stimulus platform.
Every RTB24 is MSO-ready and can be expanded with optional logic analysis capability providing up to 16 digital channels. Optional protocol triggering and decoding support I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communications, making the instrument particularly suitable for embedded systems development, industrial control applications, and communications troubleshooting.
The large 10.1-inch WXGA capacitive touchscreen provides one of the largest displays available in this class, allowing engineers to simultaneously view multiple analog channels, digital channels, FFT measurements, protocol decodes, and automated measurement results. Combined with dedicated front-panel controls and a fast startup time, the RTB24 is optimized for efficient daily operation in both educational and professional environments.
