DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz RTB24 configured with the RTB-B241 bandwidth upgrade extends the four-channel RTB24 platform to 100 MHz bandwidth while retaining the full feature set of the RTB 2 Series. Designed for embedded development, industrial electronics, power supply analysis, manufacturing diagnostics, educational laboratories, and service environments, the instrument combines professional measurement capability with an intuitive operating experience.

At the heart of the RTB24 is a Rohde & Schwarz-developed 10-bit analog-to-digital converter that delivers up to four times the vertical resolution of conventional 8-bit oscilloscopes. The enhanced resolution enables engineers to identify low-level signal details, switching ripple, power integrity issues, transient events, and noise components that are often hidden on lower-resolution instruments.

The oscilloscope supports real-time sampling rates up to 2.5 GSa/s in interleaved operation and up to 1.25 GSa/s with all four channels active. Memory depth reaches 10 Mpoints per channel and up to 20 Mpoints in interleaved mode, allowing long acquisition windows while maintaining high sampling resolution. Waveform acquisition rates up to 50,000 waveforms per second improve the probability of capturing intermittent faults and rare signal anomalies.

A major advantage of the RTB 2 platform is its integrated functionality. Standard features include FFT spectrum analysis, digital voltmeter capability, frequency counter measurements, arbitrary waveform generation, pattern generation, segmented memory, history mode recording, automatic measurements, mask testing, and mathematical analysis functions. These integrated tools reduce the need for multiple standalone instruments on the bench.

Every RTB24 is MSO-ready and can be expanded with the RTB2-B1 mixed-signal option to provide up to 16 digital channels. Optional protocol triggering and decoding support I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and LIN communications, making the instrument particularly effective for embedded systems, industrial automation, and communications interface debugging.

The large 10.1-inch WXGA capacitive touchscreen provides one of the highest-resolution displays available in this class, enabling simultaneous viewing of multiple analog channels, digital channels, protocol decodes, FFT measurements, and automated measurement results. Combined with dedicated hardware controls and a fast startup time, the RTB24 is equally suited to laboratory, production, and educational environments.
