DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz RTB22 is the entry-bandwidth two-channel model within the RTB 2 Series and provides 70 MHz bandwidth while retaining the complete hardware architecture and advanced functionality found throughout the RTB family. Designed for electronics development, education, industrial maintenance, manufacturing diagnostics, and laboratory applications, the RTB22 combines professional measurement performance with intuitive operation and extensive integrated functionality.

A key differentiator of the RTB platform is its custom-developed 10-bit analog-to-digital converter. Compared with conventional 8-bit oscilloscopes, the RTB22 delivers four times the vertical resolution, enabling engineers to observe low-level signal details, switching ripple, transient disturbances, power supply noise, and signal integrity issues with significantly greater clarity and accuracy.

The instrument supports real-time sampling rates of up to 2.5 GSa/s and provides memory depths of up to 20 Mpoints in interleaved operation. Deep memory acquisition allows long-duration waveform capture while maintaining high timing resolution, making the oscilloscope suitable for debugging embedded systems, serial communications, industrial control electronics, switching power supplies, and sensor interfaces. Waveform acquisition rates of up to 50,000 waveforms per second improve the probability of capturing intermittent faults and sporadic signal anomalies.

The RTB22 integrates a comprehensive set of measurement and analysis tools as standard. Features include FFT spectrum analysis, digital voltmeter operation, frequency counter measurements, automatic measurements, mathematical analysis, mask testing, segmented memory acquisition, and history mode recording. A built-in 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator and pattern generator further expand the instrument's capability, providing both signal generation and analysis within a single platform.

The oscilloscope is MSO-ready and can be expanded with optional mixed-signal functionality supporting up to 16 digital channels. Optional protocol triggering and decoding are available for I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and LIN communications, making the instrument particularly valuable for embedded system development, industrial automation, and communications interface troubleshooting.

A large 10.1-inch WXGA capacitive touchscreen provides one of the largest displays available in this class, allowing simultaneous viewing of analog waveforms, digital channels, FFT measurements, protocol decodes, and automated measurement results.
