DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz RTB22 configured with the RTB-B243 bandwidth upgrade represents the highest-bandwidth configuration available for the two-channel RTB22 platform, extending performance to 300 MHz while retaining the full functionality of the RTB 2 Series architecture. Designed for electronics development, embedded systems, power electronics, communications interfaces, manufacturing diagnostics, and laboratory applications, the RTB22 combines advanced measurement performance with intuitive operation.

A key differentiator of the RTB platform is its custom-designed 10-bit analog-to-digital converter. Compared with conventional 8-bit oscilloscopes, the RTB22 provides four times the vertical resolution, allowing engineers to identify low-level signal details, switching ripple, noise, transient disturbances, and power integrity issues with significantly greater clarity.

The RTB22 supports real-time sampling rates of up to 2.5 GSa/s and memory depths up to 20 Mpoints in interleaved operation. The combination of high bandwidth, deep memory, and fast acquisition rates enables detailed analysis of high-speed digital buses, clock systems, switching power supplies, embedded processors, communications interfaces, and transient events. Waveform acquisition rates of up to 50,000 waveforms per second improve the probability of capturing intermittent faults and sporadic signal anomalies.

Beyond oscilloscope functionality, the RTB22 integrates a comprehensive set of measurement and analysis tools. Standard functionality includes FFT spectrum analysis, digital voltmeter operation, frequency counter measurements, automatic measurements, mask testing, segmented memory acquisition, history mode recording, mathematical analysis, and a 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator with integrated pattern generation capability.

The platform is MSO-ready and can be expanded with optional logic analysis capability supporting up to 16 digital channels. Optional protocol triggering and decoding are available for I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN, and LIN communications, making the instrument particularly valuable for embedded development and industrial automation applications.

The large 10.1-inch WXGA capacitive touchscreen provides exceptional visibility and ease of use, allowing engineers to simultaneously view multiple measurements, protocol decodes, FFT results, and waveform data.
