DESCRIPTION:

The Bird RH-RR-KIT-3 is an enhanced configuration of the RailHawk® Railway RF Cable & Antenna Analyzer platform, engineered for field service teams responsible for commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting railway RF communications infrastructure. The kit combines a handheld RF cable and antenna analyzer with an extended accessory package, calibration standards, terminations, and compatible Bird USB power sensor support for comprehensive RF verification in rail corridor environments.

Designed for safety-critical applications such as signaling, control systems, telemetry, GSM-R/LTE-R, and trackside radio networks, the analyzer performs frequency-domain reflectometry (FDR) and distance-to-fault (DTF) measurements to rapidly locate impedance discontinuities, cable degradation, and connector faults. It also supports VSWR, return loss, insertion loss, and RF power measurements across a wide operational frequency range, enabling validation of antenna systems and feedline integrity.

The ruggedized handheld unit is suited to on-site depot, trackside, and infrastructure cabinet testing. Integrated USB connectivity supports compatible Bird power sensors and facilitates data capture for reporting, compliance documentation, and preventative maintenance programs.
