DESCRIPTION:
The PeakTech P 1640 is a versatile True RMS power clamp meter combining a high-range current clamp with integrated multimeter capabilities for comprehensive electrical diagnostics. It measures AC and DC current up to 1000 A and, when used with test probes for voltage, can display power consumption (kW) in single-phase circuits. True RMS measurement improves accuracy on non-sinusoidal waveforms, and the instrument also supports voltage, resistance, frequency, continuity, and diode testing, making it suitable for field technicians, service engineers, and industrial users. The large LCD display with up to 3 ¾ digits (3999 counts) includes a backlight for readability, and features like data hold, auto/manual range selection, and auto power-off enhance usability. The clamp aperture handles conductors up to ~35 mm in diameter, and the unit meets CAT III 600 V safety standards.
