DESCRIPTION:

The Franklin Grid OM3-C1 is a turnkey INCON® Optimizer3 pre-assembled monitoring cabinet designed for continuous online diagnostics and predictive maintenance monitoring of high-voltage circuit breakers within utility substations, transmission infrastructure, switchgear systems, and industrial power environments. The OM3-C1 configuration includes the Optimizer3 monitoring platform together with OM-ACCT cabinet heater current monitoring functionality for supervision of breaker cabinet environmental heating systems and auxiliary equipment operation.

The OM3-C1 cabinet is supplied as a fully integrated monitoring solution with all components, sensors, accessories, and terminal infrastructure pre-mounted, pre-wired, and factory tested to simplify deployment and reduce field installation time. The monitoring platform is designed for live-tank and dead-tank oil, vacuum, and SF6 gas circuit breakers requiring continuous operational supervision, remote diagnostics capability, and automated maintenance analytics.

The integrated Optimizer3 monitoring system supports advanced breaker diagnostics including breaker timing analysis, opening and closing travel time monitoring, arc time measurement, interrupting time analysis, trip and close coil integrity supervision, charging motor current analysis, contact wear monitoring, restrike detection, fault interruption analysis, and breaker operation trending. The OM-ACCT accessory enables cabinet heater current monitoring to detect heater failure conditions and support environmental management within breaker control enclosures.

The cabinet enclosure features rugged 16-gauge steel construction with IP66 / NEMA 4 ingress protection against water, dust, and oil contamination. Internal cabinet heaters and hooded ventilation systems assist with condensation prevention and environmental stability for continuous outdoor utility deployment. Integrated AC/DC circuit breakers, pre-wired sensor terminal blocks, and structured wiring infrastructure eliminate extensive on-site drilling and cabinet modification requirements.

The Optimizer3 platform functions as a secure embedded webserver supporting HTTPS remote access, CSV report generation, remote firmware upgrades, role-based access control, DNP3 communications, RS-485 communications, Ethernet networking, and remote alarm management through the CONVERGE™ monitoring environment. The system supports continuous 24/7 monitoring of SF6 gas density, pressure, temperature, and leakage trends together with automated environmental compliance reporting workflows.
