DESCRIPTION:
The Extech MO57 is a compact pinless moisture meter designed for quick and reliable non-contact moisture assessment in wood and various building materials. Utilizing a pinless spherical sensor, it measures relative moisture content from 0.1 % to 99.9 % without penetrating the surface, making it ideal for sensitive surfaces or finished materials where avoiding damage is essential. The sensing depth reaches up to approximately 100 mm (4 in) beneath the surface, allowing effective detection of moisture from deeper layers of materials. The meter’s digital LCD displays moisture percentage with intuitive low/medium/high icons and provides an audible alert that increases tone rate as moisture levels rise. Built-in features such as Data Hold, automatic battery check, and auto power-off enhance field usability. The MO57 is powered by a single 9 V battery and includes a wrist strap for convenient handling.
