DESCRIPTION:
The Extech MO290-HP is a specialty moisture hammer probe designed for use with select Extech moisture meters that support external probes, such as the Extech MO290 and similar models. This contact probe features two sharp pins roughly 1.6 in (4 cm) long that can be driven into tougher, harder surfaces where standard pin probes may not penetrate easily, such as dense timber, solid wood, or other rigid building materials. It connects via an RJ45 plug to the meter’s external probe port, making it simple to install and use in the field. The hammer action pin design improves penetration in challenging materials and delivers direct contact moisture readings that complement the meter’s pinless scanning capability.
