DESCRIPTION:
The Extech MO290 is a professional-grade 8-in-1 moisture psychrometer and infrared thermometer designed for building diagnostics, water damage assessment, HVAC analysis, and restoration work. It features a pinless moisture sensor that measures relative moisture content without damaging surfaces to depths up to approximately 19 mm (0.75 in) and an included remote pin moisture probe for contact moisture readings in tight or deep locations. The unit also integrates measurements of relative humidity, ambient temperature, non-contact IR surface temperature, dew point, vapor pressure, and mixing ratio (grains per pound) — all shown on a large dual backlit LCD simultaneously. Programmable high/low alarms for moisture and humidity, automatic differential temperature (IR minus dew point) calculation to pinpoint condensation risk, Min/Max and data-hold functions, and an auto power-off feature make it a comprehensive tool for environmental and moisture analysis on site. The MO290 ships complete with the remote moisture probe, battery, and a protective carrying case.
