Automated thermal transfer print-and-apply wrap-around labeller engineered for precise fibre optic cable identification, designed to protect delicate fibres and deliver consistent, high-quality labels on small-diameter optical cables in high-volume operations.

DESCRIPTION:

The Brady Wraptor A6500 Fibre Optic Wrap Printer Applicator (WRAPTOR-A6500-FO) is a specialised variant of Brady’s A6500 series designed to meet the unique demands of fibre optic cable identification. It integrates a thermal transfer print engine with an automatic wrap-around applicator mechanism, delivering precise labels in under five seconds per cable while maintaining the integrity of sensitive fibre optic jackets.

Unlike traditional wire labellers, the FO model features innovative soft-jaw tooling that avoids dents, scratches, or other damage to fibre optics during the wrap process — a critical requirement for maintaining signal quality and preventing attenuation. It supports a narrower diameter range suitable for optical fibres and is compatible with Brady’s suite of B-series wrap-around label media and the Brady Workstation software for flexible design and job management.

Key Features
Automated print-and-apply wrap-around labelling engineered for fibre optic cables (<5 s application).
Thermal transfer printing with 300 dpi resolution for sharp text, barcodes, and identifiers.
Soft-jaw design protects delicate fibre optic jackets during wrapping.
• Supports fibre diameters ~1.19 mm to 10.92 mm — ideal for single and multi-mode optical fibres.
• Intuitive colour touchscreen UI for easy setup and operation.
Ethernet, RS-232/serial, USB connectivity for integration into production environments.
32 GB internal memory for storing design templates and jobs.
• Compatible with Brady Workstation and B-series wrap media stocks (e.g., nylon cloth, self-laminating vinyl).

Applications & Users
Optimised for telecommunications, data centre cabling, and optical network deployments, this unit is suited for environments where consistent, repeatable fibre labelling improves documentation accuracy and reduces installation time — especially in high-throughput manufacturing, pre-termination facilities, or rack-build labs.
