The Rohde & Schwarz FSC-P1 is an internal low-noise preamplifier option for the FSC3 and FSC6 spectrum analyzers. DESCRIPTION:

The Rohde & Schwarz FSC-P1 is a factory-installed preamplifier option developed for the FSC Series compact spectrum analyzers. The option enhances the sensitivity of the instrument by introducing a low-noise gain stage ahead of the analyzer's signal processing chain, allowing significantly improved visibility of weak RF signals that may otherwise be difficult to detect.

For many RF measurement applications, particularly in communications, EMC investigations, wireless device development, receiver testing, and field service environments, signal levels can approach the analyzer noise floor. The FSC-P1 improves measurement capability by reducing the effective displayed average noise level and increasing sensitivity across the analyzer's operating frequency range.
