DESCRIPTION:

The Bird 8792 water-cooled RF termination is a high-power, broadband 50 ohm dummy load designed for continuous 80 000 W (80 kW) RF power dissipation in high-power transmitter and transmission line systems. The termination uses a hollow resistive film element that converts RF energy into heat, which is then efficiently removed by flowing water. Because this load generates very little ambient heat, it can be installed in confined spaces and operated in any orientation. It is engineered for low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) up to 800 MHz and is suited for CW, AM, FM, SSB, and similar modulation environments.
