DESCRIPTION:

The Bird 8770 Series comprises compact, water-cooled RF terminations rated for continuous 50 000 W operation. These direct water-cooled loads use a hollow resistive film element that converts RF power into heat and then transfers it to potable water flowing through the load, keeping ambient temperatures low and enabling installation in tight spaces. The 8770 Series provides low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) termination from DC up to approximately 900 MHz, making them suitable for high-power transmitter systems, calibration, and RF test environments where efficient long-term RF dissipation is required.
