DESCRIPTION

The Bird 8740 Series comprises high-power water-cooled RF terminations designed for continuous dissipation of up to 20 kW of RF power in high-power transmitter and transmission line systems. These loads use direct water circulation through an internal resistive element to remove heat rapidly, allowing compact installation with minimal ambient heat generation. The 8740 Series provides low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) broadband performance, making it suitable for test benches, high-power transmitter systems, and service environments where efficient thermal control is essential.
