DESCRIPTION:

The Bird 8730 Series comprises compact, water-cooled RF terminations rated for continuous 10 kW power dissipation. These Econoload™ water-cooled loads convert RF energy to heat in a resistive film element and transfer that heat directly to flowing water, minimising ambient heat and allowing installation in tight spaces with potable water access. They provide low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) termination up to approximately 1 GHz and are suitable for high-power transmitter sites, bench testing, and system terminations where direct water cooling is preferred.
