DESCRIPTION:
The Bird 8640B Series comprises compact, self-contained high-power RF terminations rated for 25 kW continuous RF dissipation. These loads incorporate forced-air blower cooling coupled with internal water coolant circulationand a built-in interlock control circuit that protects both the termination and connected transmitter equipment if blower power or coolant flow fails. The design supports broadband operation up to approximately 900 MHz with maximum VSWR around 1.1:1 (DC continuity checks).
