The FLIR E54 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera has an IR resolution of 320x240px and a fixed 24° lens with a thermal sensitivity of <40mK (at 30°C) and can measure temperatures between -20°C and 120°C and 0°C and 650°C to an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2%. It includes a manual focus, and a one-touch level and span. In addition to this, it also features a built-in 5MP visual camera with a fixed focus and an LED light. The MSX® Image Enhancement function can be used to enhance the depth and clarity of thermal images by overlaying visual details. This makes it easier to identify the source of faults. It also includes a 1-4x continuous zoom and an array of measurement tools such as three spot meters and one area meter (in live mode).
Radiometric JPEG images can be saved to the 8GB SD card and whats more, you can record and stream IR, radiometric and visual footage. Images and videos can be saved with a GPS tag, voice annotations and/or on-screen text. The user can also sketch onto thermal images via the touchscreen display. These features allow the user to build reports on the camera.
Furthermore, the FLIR E54 is compatible with FLIR’s Thermal Studio Software (included) and Thermal Studio Pro Software (NOT included) which are designed for analysing thermal images and footage and creating professional reports.
Thermal images and footage are visible via the touchscreen display with a 640x480px resolution. This pistol-shaped thermal camera is easy and efficient to use. The fast-response touchscreen and intuitive user interface, along with practically placed menu buttons, mean the E54 can be operated using a single hand. It also ensures accessing required settings and functions is quick and easy. Simple folder and naming structures increase the speed and ease with which the user can recall saved files. The unit has been drop-tested from 3m (6.6 ft) ensuring that it is suitable for use in rugged environments. It has an average battery life of over 2.5 hours.
The imager supports USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and DisplayPort interfaces, as well as METERLiNK which allows the camera to communicate with other FLIR tools such as clamps and multimeters. Data gathered by connected FLIR tools can be saved alongside thermal footage and images. Wi-Fi connectivity means the FLIR E54 can be connected to a smartphone or tablet allowing the user to share his/her findings with relevant persons.
The FLIR E54 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera includes FLIR’s exclusive Inspection Route Camera function. It is automatically enabled and can be used to guide thermographers along a pre-defined inspection route, allowing him/her to gather images and data at specified inspection points. Automatically collects and organises saved images enabling seamless import into FLIR’s Thermal Studio Pro Software. This simplifies reporting and improves inspection efficiency and organisation.
The inspection route is created using the Route Creator Plug-in for FLIR Thermal Studio Pro (NOT included). Routes can include as many inspection points as required which may be organised to ensure maximum efficiency. The user-constructed route is then exported to the camera. The Inspection Route Camera function is ideal for thermographers who regularly carry out a large number of inspections.
The FLIR E54 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is a simple yet effective thermal imaging camera suitable for conducting quick, accurate and structured inspections of electrical and mechanical equipment.
