Precision RF diagnostic receiver module used in the Bird Diagnostic System (BDS2) for real-time voltage, current, and phase measurements in RF systems, with multi-frequency tracking and advanced analysis capabilities.

DESCRIPTION:

The Bird Technologies 7001A900-1 BDS Receiver is the core processing unit of the BDS2 (Bird Diagnostic System)— a high-fidelity RF diagnostic platform that captures and computes voltage (V), current (I), and phase () in complex RF environments where standard 50 ohm measurements are inadequate. It forms the analytical heart of the system, receiving sensor signals from the inline V-I probe and converting them into actionable RF metrics such as impedance, delivered power, and harmonic content.

This unit is designed for advanced RF test and measurement applications, including semiconductor plasma chamber diagnostics, impedance tracking, RF delivery system monitoring, and multi-generator analysis. The receiver supports multiple fundamental, harmonic, and intermodulation frequencies simultaneously and interfaces with user workstations via industry-standard protocols for remote control and data logging.

Key Features

  • Core diagnostic receiver for the BDS2 RF measurement system.

  • Processes real-time voltage, current, and phase data from a connected sensor.

  • Enables calculation of impedance, power, return loss, and reflection coefficient.

  • Supports multi-frequency tracking (fundamental, harmonic, and intermodulation products).

  • Interfaces through Ethernet (and optionally RS-232 on specific versions) for remote control and data access.

  • Designed for non-50 RF systems and advanced diagnostic environments where standard sensors are insufficient.

Typical Use Suitability:
Ideal for high-precision RF diagnostic and measurement tasks, especially where impedance varies from 50 and detailed V-I- data is required — for example, in semiconductor manufacturing, RF process control, and complex matched load environments.
