DESCRIPTION
The Bird Standard D Series Plug-In Elements cover the 200–500 MHz frequency range and are available in full-scale power ratings from 5 W through 5 kW. These 7/8 inch interchangeable directional RF elements are engineered for use with Bird 43, 4431, and compatible wattmeters operating in 50 ohm transmission systems.
The D Series supports UHF applications including land mobile radio, public safety communications, commercial UHF systems, and general RF service and maintenance environments. Measurement of forward or reflected power is determined by orientation within the wattmeter line section.
Each element is a passive, precision-calibrated device built to Bird’s established plug-in architecture, ensuring mechanical durability, repeatable measurement accuracy, and long-term stability in both field and laboratory environments.
