DESCRIPTION
The Bird Standard A Series Plug-In Elements are 7/8 inch interchangeable directional RF power elements designed for use with Bird 43, 4431, and compatible wattmeters. The A band covers the 25–60 MHz frequency range, making these elements suitable for low-band VHF applications including land mobile radio, broadcast auxiliary systems, marine communications, and general RF service environments.
Each element is calibrated for operation in 50 ohm transmission systems and provides direct forward or reflected power measurement depending on installation orientation. Power ranges are available from low wattage service levels through high-power broadcast and industrial RF outputs. These are passive, field-interchangeable elements with Bird’s slug-style construction for long-term stability and repeatable measurement accuracy.
Power accuracy is maintained when used within rated frequency band and environmental conditions specified by Bird. All models are analog-scaled for quick field verification of transmitter output power and system VSWR performance.
