DESCRIPTION:

The Bird Technologies 4410A Multipower RF Wattmeter is a rugged, portable insertion-type RF power meter that builds on the classic Bird Thruline® design with an expanded dynamic range and accuracy for modern test environments. It accepts a wide range of Bird 4410-series plug-in elements, enabling coverage across multiple frequency bands and power ranges with each element — reducing the number of elements needed to span from very low to high power levels. 

Operating with a standard 9 V alkaline battery, the analog meter features dual switchable ranges (0-1 and 0-3) and Quick Change (QC) connectors for ease of field and bench connection. Measurement capability spans approximately 200 kilohertz to 1.0 gigahertz with standard 4410 series elements, and with wide-range elements available even up to 2.3 gigahertz. Depending on the installed element, full-scale power coverage per element can range from hundreds of milliwatts up to 10 kilowatts. 

The 4410A uses temperature-compensated circuitry and maintains ±5 % of reading accuracy above 20 % of full scale, offering stable performance across a 37 dB dynamic range with most elements. It is suitable for average power measurement of CW and FM signals, helping technicians verify transmitter output, antenna match (forward and reflected power), and other RF system parameters.
