DESCRIPTION
Bird 4410 Series Multipower Plug-In Elements provide wide dynamic range RF power measurement for Bird 4410A and 4412A wattmeters, typically covering 0.002 W up to 10 kW in overlapping ranges selectable via the meter’s range switch. The elements operate over a broad frequency span from 200 kHz up to approximately 2.3 GHz (depending on the specific element model).
These elements are engineered to support CW and FM measurements with ±5 % reading accuracy (above 20 % of full scale) across a large dynamic range. Some 4410 elements extend usable frequency coverage beyond 1 GHz into GHz-range bands for coaxial field and laboratory RF test applications.
Each element houses multiple calibrated power ranges internally, reducing the number of separate elements required to cover broad power and frequency combinations. They interface via Bird’s standard 7/8 plug-in socket on the 4410A/4412A wattmeter and use quick-change connectors for field adaptability.
