The Bird 4304A RF Wattmeter integrates a built-in broadband plug-in element calibrated specifically for the meter — eliminating the need to carry and swap multiple elements — and uses a 5-position range switch to scale full-scale readings from 5 W up to 500 W. Its robust construction features an aluminum housing, shock-mounted analog meter, and Quick Change (QC) connectors for easy connection in 50 Ohm coaxial systems.
Operating over a frequency range of 25 MHz to 1000 MHz, the 4304A is suitable for a wide array of RF maintenance, commissioning, and diagnostic tasks in broadcast, communication, and industrial applications. Its directional design samples forward and reflected power, and the range switch lets technicians optimise measurement sensitivity without element changes.
Calibration is inherent to the fixed element and meter, so other Bird elements are not compatible with this unit — the element is integrated and matched to the wattmeter’s circuitry.
Typical Use Suitability:
Ideal for general-purpose RF power monitoring in lab, field, or production environments where rapid assessment of forward/reflected power over a broad frequency span is needed, especially when the convenience of a single broadband sensor is preferred over multiple interchangeable elements.
Built-in fixed broadband element covering 25 MHz to 1000 MHz for versatile RF power measurement without swapping elements.
5-position range switch scales readings from 5 W, 15 W, 50 W, 150 W, up to 500 W.
Directional wattmeter measures both forward and reflected power.
Quick Change (QC) connectors (typically Female N or UHF) for easy field connection.
Rugged aluminum housing with shock-mounted meter for durability.
