DESCRIPTION:
The Bird Model 43-BNC Broadband RF Wattmeter is a classic portable RF measurement instrument designed to measure continuous-wave (CW) forward and reflected power in coaxial transmission lines over a broad frequency range using industry-standard Bird plug-in elements. Featuring pre-installed BNC (female) Quick Change (QC) connectors, this meter accepts a wide variety of plug-in elements that define both the frequency coverage (up to 2.7 GHz) and power range (100 milliwatt to 10 kilowatt).
Constructed in a rugged metal housing and designed for simplicity in the field, the 43-BNC delivers reliable, real-time visual power data without requiring external power — ideal for transmitter tuning, antenna system verification, and general RF diagnostics. Internal storage is provided for two extra plug-in elements, reducing the need to carry additional accessories separately.
Typical Use Suitability:
Well suited for general CW RF power measurement in communications, broadcast, industrial RF, and maintenance environments where a rugged, broadband wattmeter with BNC connectivity is preferred.
