DESCRIPTION:

The Bird Technologies 4028A3M Directional Power Sensor is a precision, high-power RF measurement sensor engineered to provide directional forward and reflected power readings across the 2.5 MHz to 3.5 MHz frequency range. As part of Bird’s 4028 Series Precision RF Directional Thruline Power Sensors, it delivers ±2 % accuracy at specified calibration frequencies and power levels and ±3 % outside calibration when used with compatible multifunction power meters such as the Bird 4421A Series. 

Designed for high-power continuous wave (CW) RF environments — including semiconductor processing, industrial RF systems, and broadcast infrastructure — this sensor provides stable, repeatable measurements for critical forward and reflected power verification. It is calibrated with full NIST traceability for measurement confidence and long-term reproducibility. Connector configurations must be specified when ordering to ensure the calibrated accuracy applies to the installed connectors. 

Typical performance characteristics include a power handling range from approximately 1.0 kW to 25 kW, low insertion loss, strong directivity, and VSWR performance that support precise RF system analysis.
