The Bird Technologies 4028A2M Directional Power Sensor is a precision, high-power RF sensor engineered for directional measurement of forward and reflected power over a frequency range of 1.5 MHz to 2.5 MHz. As part of Bird’s 4028 Series Precision RF Directional Thruline Power Sensors, it delivers ±2 % accuracy at specified calibration frequencies and power levels when used with compatible multifunction meters such as the Bird 4421A Series. Calibration is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), providing confidence in long-term measurement integrity.
Designed for high-power RF environments — including semiconductor processing, LCD and TFT manufacturing, and other precision high-power applications — the sensor provides stable, repeatable measurements with low insertion loss and strong directivity. Typical power handling for the 4028A2M model is 1.0 kW to 25 kW, allowing it to support demanding RF measurement tasks where accurate assessment of delivered and reflected energy is critical.
Measurement performance depends on connectors installed at the time of calibration; Bird guarantees ±2 % accuracy only when the sensor is sold and calibrated with the customer-specified connectors.
