DESCRIPTION:
Megger 1011-358 is the GILS2 EHV Advanced Guard Interconnecting Lead and Strap Kit, an accessory designed to improve the accuracy of high-voltage insulation resistance testing by enabling proper use of the guard terminal on Megger insulation testers.
The kit provides a combination of interconnecting guard leads and elastic conductive straps that create a 360° contact around bushings or insulating surfaces, helping divert surface leakage currents away from the measurement circuit. This ensures that the insulation tester measures the true insulation resistance of the asset, rather than leakage currents caused by contamination, moisture, or environmental conditions.
